Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Jackson, MS is seeking a Patient Care Technician I Home Therapies (PCT I HT) to support safe home dialysis therapy under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will help set up equipment, assist with training, and maintain a clean, organized home treatment environment in line with CMS and company policies.

Responsibilities include reinforcing HHD/PD training, coordinating with HT RNs and staff, preparing labs, stocking supplies, and helping with patient registration

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification within required state timelines.
• Successful completion of the organization dialysis training program.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces home hemodialysis (HHD) and/or peritoneal dialysis (PD) training.
• Identifies patients, collects vital signs and weights for intake.
• Maintains communication with patients, HT RN, and care team.
• Prepares labs and specimens for shipping per protocol.
• Disinfects dialysis equipment and treatment areas between visits.
• Assists with home visits and patient registration as needed.
• Maintains logs and stock of supplies.
