Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Design Consultant to engage customers on the sales floor, conduct design appointments, and guide selections of tile, wood, stone, and accessories. You’ll partner with store leaders to achieve sales goals and expand the design services brand.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in retail or customer service, a high school diploma, basic math skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Internal candidates should have 6+ months with Floor & Decor.

Qualifications

• 1+ years retail or customer service experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficient in basic math and MS Office.
• Internal candidates must have at least 6 months with Floor & Decor.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and support design walk-ins.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals.
• Advise on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing design solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness, and follow-up; maintain clear communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Utilize Salesforce, Online Design Appointment Scheduler, and MyProject.
• Support company initiatives and coach best practices with store staff.
