Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Design Consultant to greet customers, discuss project needs, and translate them into creative design concepts aligned with client lifestyles and budgets. You will guide customers through materials like tile, wood, and stone, offering expert advice for both residential and commercial projects.

The role emphasizes building lasting relationships, driving sales, and staying current with design trends while collaborating with store leadership to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple customer projects with timely updates and clear communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
