Job summary

Meals on Wheels Orange County is seeking a Part Time Home Delivered Meals Coordinator in Newport Beach. The role oversees meal delivery operations at a site, including packing, greeting volunteers, and maintaining records. You will recruit and train volunteers and ensure food safety procedures are followed.

The position runs Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–1:30 PM (25 hours/week) with a pay range of $17.50–$20.50 per hour. Local travel is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent comparable work experience preferred.
• Supervising and directing staff and volunteers experience.
• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have own transportation, valid California Driver's License and auto insurance as required by state law.
• ServSafe or Food Handlers certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and package home-delivered meals according to Route Sheets and Packing List.
• Recruit, train, and monitor volunteer drivers; track hours and training.
• Follow food safety procedures; monitor temperatures and packing to keep meals cold.
• Interact with participants, report client issues to supervisor or case manager.
• Maintain route sheets and submit daily reports for Home Delivered Meals.
