Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. in Cleveland, TN is seeking a Superintendent to manage all functions of the job site from permit to closing. You will schedule and supervise subcontractors, conduct homeowner walkthroughs, and ensure safety and workmanship meet company standards.

The ideal candidate brings 2–4 years of construction experience, a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to read plans and codes. Travel between communities and DRH Construction apps are required.

Qualifications

• Two to four years related experience.
• Ability to read construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and knowledge of all phases of new homes construction.
• General knowledge of municipal permitting, regulations and building codes.
• Ability to converse with customers, management and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction schedule and ensure high quality product is delivered on time and within budget.
• Schedule subcontractors for each phase and ensure workmanship meets plans and codes.
• Complete each home site from planning through occupancy, satisfying contract obligations.
• Inspect subcontractors’ workmanship and halt noncompliant work.
• Authorize payment of subcontractors after thorough inspection.
• Manage the customer experience throughout construction and conduct homeowner orientations.
• Monitor community cleanliness and maintain a visually appealing site.
• Follow up with homeowners to address concerns promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable building codes and DRH tools.
