Job summary

Always Best Care Senior Services in Dallas is seeking an experienced Home Care Staffing Coordinator to join our Dallas office. You'll coordinate caregiver schedules, manage coverage when shifts are open, and serve as the primary scheduling contact.

The role requires hands-on caregiving experience and scheduling experience, a detail-oriented, proactive approach, and the capacity to work weekdays with occasional weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Professional caregiving experience is REQUIRED.
• Previous employee scheduling or staffing coordination experience is REQUIRED.
• Experience managing frequent schedule changes, staffing shortages, and time-sensitive coverage needs
• Ability to provide hands-on caregiver coverage when necessary

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Daily Staffing: Build, adjust, and maintain caregiver schedules while considering client preferences, caregiver qualifications, availability, and travel distances.
• Resolve Coverage Challenges: Take immediate action when caregivers call off, shifts become available, or scheduling conflicts arise.
• Keep Clients Covered: Actively recruit caregivers for open shifts and provide direct care when needed after exhausting replacement options.
• Communicate with Confidence: Serve as the primary scheduling contact for caregivers, clients, families, and office staff.
• Manage Caregiver Availability: Track time-off requests, schedule preferences, and availability changes.
• Support Efficient Scheduling: Monitor caregiver hours, identify overtime concerns, and make staffing decisions.
• Maintain Accurate Records: Document scheduling changes, caregiver communications, and coverage efforts in scheduling software.
• Support Office Operations: Assist with calls, onboarding, and other daily tasks.
• Work as a Team: Collaborate with schedulers and office leadership to meet staffing needs.
