Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a results-driven Business Development Specialist in the NYC area to expand referral networks and increase patient access to home care services. You will cultivate relationships with physicians, hospitals, and community organizations, identifying new referral opportunities within NYC, Long Island, and Westchester.

The ideal candidate has experience in home care outreach or Medicaid/MLTC programs, with strong communication skills and the ability to travel locally.

Qualifications

• Experience in home care marketing, community healthcare outreach, long-term care, or healthcare business development.
• Proven ability to generate referrals, patient enrollments, or starts of care.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable working independently and managing an assigned territory.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally.
• Existing relationships within NYC, Long Island, Westchester, or surrounding healthcare communities are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with physicians, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, community organizations, and other referral sources.
• Identify and develop new referral opportunities throughout the assigned territory.
• Represent the agency at community events, healthcare offices, and outreach initiatives.
• Educate referral partners on available home care services.
• Collaborate with the intake team to ensure a smooth transition from referral to patient enrollment.
• Drive consistent referral activity that converts into new patient starts of care, meeting monthly growth goals.
• Manage your territory independently while maintaining regular outreach and follow-up activities.
