Job summary

Qualified candidates must have ordination or commission, endorsement in good standing, and clinical pastoral education (CPE). A bachelor’s and a master’s in divinity are required, with substantial pastoral experience.

Qualifications

• Requires Ordination or Commission to function in ministry of pastoral care.
• Minimum 5 years pastoral experience, 2+ in a clinical setting.
• 1 unit (400 hours) of CPE, preferably 2+ units.
• Equivalencies to CPE may include certs or graduate degrees in pastoral care.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral care interventions and counseling to patients, families, caregivers and staff.
• Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team to address spiritual needs.
• Deliver spiritual assessment-based care and end-of-life support as needed.
