Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a Home Care Aide (Caregiver) in Chico, CA to provide compassionate in-home care for seniors. Shifts vary from 2 to 12 hours and may include mornings and evenings.

The role emphasizes maintaining independence, dignity, and safety in clients' homes, with a supportive office team behind you. You should have at least 6 months of caregiving experience, pass background checks, TB testing, and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience caregiving preferred
• Ability to pass a DOJ/FBI background clearance
• Able to pass a negative TB test
• Must pass a comprehensive drug screen (We do not test for THC)
• Able and willing to use your smartphone to clock in and out / document care activities
• CA Driver's License and Transportation

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized attention to encourage client well-being
• Transfer and assist with ambulation using proper body mechanics or lifting devices
• Follow the client's care plan and communicate observations
• Attend to grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, ROM, communication
• Assist with medication reminders (client self-administers)
• Maintain client comfort, privacy, and dignity; convey warmth and a caring environment
• Interact with client’s visitors and family tactfully
• Perform homemaking tasks: vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, dishes, laundry, linens, bathrooms
• Dementia experience helpful

$17.00 - $20.00/Hour

Shifts Available: Mon-Sat 8a-4p, Mon, Fri - Sun 4p-8p and fill in 8a-5p

We are seeking professional, upbeat, and reliable HCA’s to provide care for our clients (shifts range from 2 to 12 hours) and helping them remain safely in their homes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized attention, which encourages each client'sability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental, and social well-being.
• Transfer and assist with client'sambulationusing proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention.
• Be knowledgeable of the client's individualized care planand provide support accordingly. Contribute to the care planning process by communicating specific information and observations of the client'sneeds and preferences.
• Attend to the individual needs of client which may include assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, or other needs in keeping with the individuals' care requirements.
• Assist client with medication reminders (that the client self-administers) to ensure all medications are taken.
• Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each client in the delivery ofservices provided to them. Interact with client in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment.
• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the client'svisitors andfamilies.
• Perform homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms.
• Dementia Experience Helpful.
