Interim HealthCare Inc. in Lakehead, CA is seeking a Home Care Aide to provide compassionate in-home support to seniors, helping with daily activities and personal care.

You will work with 1:1 client ratios, set your own schedule, and access online training with CEUs, Rasmussen tuition discounts, weekly pay, and health benefits after meeting hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of healthcare experience preferred.
• Clear Background Check & Drug Screen (THC not tested).
• Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate and helpful demeanor with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meals, shopping and companionship.
• Assist with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition, reporting concerns to a supervisor.
• Maintain a safe home environment with clear pathways.
• Engage clients in activities they enjoy, like puzzles and reading.

As a Home Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home


• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship


• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises


• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns


• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways


• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Home Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)


• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred


• Clear Background Check & Drug Screen *We do not test for THC


• Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation


• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
