Job summary

Easter Seals Metropolitan Chicago is seeking a Home Based Manager to provide leadership, oversight, and technical support for the Early Head Start/Prevention Initiative home-based and doula programs. This role supervises the Doula Supervisor and a team of Home Based Educators, ensuring policy implementation and partner collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Education/Child Development, or related field with at least 12 ECE/CD credits.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Gateways Level 5 Family Specialist Credential within 18 months of hire.
• Birth Doula trained with DONA or equivalent training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and update service/management plans and implement systems for high‑quality home-based and doula EHS/PI services.
• Supervise Doula Supervisor and oversee a caseload of Home Based Educators.
• Coordinate with staff and partner agencies to ensure integrated services for families.
• Promote family-centered approach and engage parents in program activities.
• Recruit and enroll EHS children, including children with disabilities.
• Provide coaching, observations, and feedback to Home Based Educators.
• Ensure compliance with Head Start standards and PI requirements.
• Travel to Easterseals locations and partner sites regularly.
• Prepare monthly reports and participate in planning and self‑assessment.
