Job summary

Easterseals Chicago is seeking a Doula Family Support Specialist to provide prenatal, labor, and postpartum support to pregnant families enrolled in the EHS/PI program. You will maintain a caseload of 8–10 clients, conduct weekly home visits, and collaborate with home visitors, health providers, and community resources to ensure comprehensive family‑centered services.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Social Work, Public Health, or related.
• Doula certification (DONA or equivalent) preferred; training provided if not certified.
• Must complete certification within 6–12 months of hire as a condition of employment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in home visiting, doula services, maternal health, or early childhood programs.
• Knowledge of Head Start Standards, ISBE PAT model, and family engagement best practices.
• Bilingual ability English/Spanish or English/Arabic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally responsive prenatal education, labor support, and postpartum services to enrolled families.
• Maintain a caseload of 8–10 pregnant women with weekly home visits.
• Attend births and provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support; overnight, weekend, and evening availability as needed.
• Lead monthly prenatal groups aligned with program goals.
• Maintain accurate case notes and data entry into ChildPlus and other systems.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and community resources to support family needs.
