Job summary

Easterseals Chicago is seeking a Doula family support specialist to provide prenatal, birthing, and postpartum support to pregnant women and families enrolled in EHS/PI in the Chicagoland area. The role involves weekly home visits, group sessions, and collaboration with health providers and community resources.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree related to early childhood or health, with a Doula certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience providing prenatal, labor, and postpartum support.
• Minimum 2 years in home visiting or maternal health programs.
• Bilingual ability (English/Spanish or English/Arabic) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally responsive prenatal education, labor support, and postpartum services.
• Maintain a caseload of 8–10 pregnant women with weekly home visits.
• Attend births and provide continuous support during labor and delivery.
• Lead monthly prenatal groups aligned with program goals.
• Coordinate with home visiting staff to integrate Doula services.
• Refer families to healthcare providers and community resources.
• Document progress and maintain accurate case notes.
• Participate in professional development and team meetings.
• All other duties as assigned.
