Job summary

Mass General Brigham Home Care, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide hands-on PT in patients' homes under the supervision of a physical therapist.

You’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence. This part-time role offers a 20-hour schedule with no evenings, weekends, or holidays, flexible options, and coverage across Northern Massachusetts communities.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in acute care, rehab or homecare as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Current registration with the Massachusetts Board of Registration.
• Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and electronic.
• Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new systems.
• The ability to prioritize, stay organized, and adapt to changing situations.
• Willingness to travel throughout Mass General Brigham Healthcare at Home’s geographic area.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatment in patients' homes under the direction of the supervising PT.
• Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on the physical therapist’s plan of care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and home safety strategies.
• Document patient visits and progress in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with the PT and interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, effective patient care.
