Optum, through Caretenders, is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for home visits in Massachusetts. This role supports patients in their homes, following a plan of care with the supervising PT.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing home PT provision and act within the supervising PT's plan.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, and mobility training.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT and coordinates care with the health team.
• Instructs patient, family, and other health team members in therapy areas within the PTA scope.
