Job summary

Mass General Brigham Home Care, Inc. seeks a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide hands-on physical therapy in patients’ homes under the supervision of a physical therapist.

You will collaborate with the PT and interdisciplinary team to improve mobility, strength, balance, and function in a diverse home care population. You’ll have a flexible 20-hour schedule with no evenings, weekends, or holidays, with options to adjust hours.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Massachusetts Board of Registration.
• Two years experience in acute care, rehab or homecare as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and electronic.
• Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new systems.
• Willingness to travel throughout Mass General Brigham Healthcare at Home’s geographic area.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on physical therapy treatment in patients’ homes under the direction of a licensed PT.
• Work closely with the PT and interdisciplinary team to improve mobility, strength, balance, and function.
• Collaborate to implement individualized treatment plans based on the plan of care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and home safety strategies.
• Document patient visits, interventions, and progress in the electronic medical record.
• Support care coordination and interdisciplinary communication to ensure safe, effective patient care.
