Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver home-based Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers and their families throughout California.

You will conduct developmental assessments, collaborate with families to set ISFP goals, and coach caregivers to apply strategies in daily activities. This role emphasizes flexible scheduling and field-based practice in diverse home and community settings.

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention preferred).
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide occupational therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals.
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations).
