Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Amedisys home health division is hiring an Occupational Therapist. You will evaluate and treat patients in their homes to promote independence and safety, developing individualized plans based on physician orders and agency policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OT program.
• Current license to practice occupational therapy in the assigned state.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ years of occupational therapy experience.
• Eligible to take or has completed NBCOT entry-level certification.
• If <1 year experience, regional clinical leaders approval and mentoring/residency required.
• Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver OT services per physician-approved plan of care.
• Ensure the plan of care addresses the identified problems.
• Account for safety and effectiveness of the OT service delivery process.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervise home health aide when RN is not active in the case.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
