Job summary

Flanigan’s in Florida is seeking friendly servers to welcome guests, take orders, serve meals, and ensure a great dining experience.

You will write orders into the POS, maintain table appearance, support teammates, and respond to guest questions. Completion of Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certifications is required; must be 21 or older to enroll where applicable.

We offer a five‑day work week, health/dental options, a 401K plan, and shift meals at 50% off to enjoy after shifts.

Qualifications

• Completion and passing of Florida Responsible Vendor program.
• Completion and passing of Florida food safety certification.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to stand/walk 100% of shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• English speaking, reading, and writing required.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc.
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and promotions and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly.
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner.
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner.
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager.
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner.
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests.

• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Five (5) Day Work Week
