Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Proficient in English language (verbal and written).
• Current Louisiana RN license with BLS, ACLS & PALS within first 6 months of hire.
• CPI and NIH Stroke Scale certification within a year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs psychosocial/physiologic assessments; informs plan of care.
• Plans and tailors care; includes education for patient and family.
• Responds to changes in patient needs using clinical judgment.
• Delivers evidence-based care and documents activities per standards.
• Communicates with health care team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Mentor and guide other staff; supports continuous improvement initiatives.
