Job summary

The Salvation Army Crystal Lake Corps has a Christmas Driver position for transporting kettles and coordinating with bell ringers during the kettle season. Responsibilities include loading/unloading kettles, maintaining security of funds, and adapting shifts weekly while upholding the mission and professionalism of the organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Good driving record with one-year experience and good knowledge of roads in the bell ringing area.
• Pass TSA MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Transport kettles and lock them on kettle stands at the start of the kettle day.
• Pick up kettles at the end of the kettle day.
• Safely return kettles within route time to the Salvation Army in Crystal Lake.
• Drive Salvation Army owned vehicles only.
• Coordinate with Volunteer & Community Relations Manager/Corps Officers on kettle and equipment issues.
• Keep monies secure at all times.
• Foster positive relationships with bell ringers and store staff.
• Follow weekly driving schedules with flexible shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
