Job summary

The Salvation Army in Springfield, IL is seeking a Kettle Driver to transport Bell Ringers, equipment, and donations during the Christmas Campaign. The role requires good moral character and the ability to interact with the public in a friendly and compassionate manner.

You will report to Corps Officer(s); local travel is required; ensure kettles and related items are secured and maintained; contribute to a positive, safe, and respectful work environment during busy seasonal shifts.

Qualifications

• Passion for fulfilling The Salvation Army mission.
• Able to pass pre-employment background inquiry and annual motor vehicle check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and knowledge of roads in the designated territory.

Responsibilities

• Transport Bell Ringers, equipment, and donations to kettle sites.
• Provide aprons, kettles, and bells to Bell Ringers and collect at the end of each shift.
• Conduct periodical site checks to ensure Bell Ringers are present and secure monies.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and comply with Safe from Harm certification.
• Perform other duties related to Seasonal Christmas activities.
