Job summary

GameStop seeks a Seasonal Sales Associate to support the store team on a short-term basis, delivering outstanding guest service within a Circle of Life sales model during peak seasons. You will greet guests, advise on gaming needs, stock shelves, maintain clean restrooms, and assist in loss prevention while upholding company policies.

Availability during holidays and weekends is required to meet customer demand.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail sales or guest service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class customer service by promptly greeting guests, assisting them with their video gaming needs, recommending additional items as appropriate, applying all selling behaviors during every transaction, and expressing gratitude to every guest for choosing GameStop.
• Fully support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational aspects, and actively contribute to all store sales initiatives throughout the holiday season.
• Collaborate with the store team to ensure restrooms are clean, organized, and merchandised according to company guidelines.
• Assist in stocking and restocking merchandise on shelves and fixtures, and transfer products from stock room to the front.
• Assist the store team in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrinkage reduction goals.
• Address guest questions and concerns promptly and courteously, escalating issues to a store keyholder when needed.
• Support inventory control and loss prevention practices, including awareness of scams and safety best practices.
• Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures, including attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethics.
