Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Community Manager to oversee multiple associations in the San Francisco area. You will advise Boards, coordinate vendors, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with state codes and company standards.

Strong communication and leadership will drive client satisfaction and operational excellence. The role demands independent judgment, willingness to attend evening meetings, and a focus on financial stewardship and risk management.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree preferred, or comparable business experience.
• CMCA preferred; will be required within two years of hire.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building background.
• Strong communication skills for board presentations.
• Ability to read and understand financial statements and budgets.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; night meetings may be required.
• Willingness to attend evening meetings and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.
• Maintain the highest standards of personal, professional, and ethical conduct.
• Attend meetings and work groups to coordinate activities and obtain approvals.
• Ensure safety and comply with policies and SOPs.
• Manage range of special projects and duties as assigned.
• Oversee association financials, budgets, and delinquency monitoring.
• Lead vendor relations, RFP processes, and communications for boards.
