Intermountain Health in South Jordan, Utah, is seeking a Home Medical Equipment Coordinator to manage intake and coordination of HME orders, verify insurance, review referrals, ensure timely fulfillment, and provide patient education on equipment use, safety, and care.

The role serves as a liaison among referral sources, providers, patients, and internal service lines, coordinating deliveries, fittings, and documentation while maintaining privacy compliance and knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with self-motivation and sound judgment.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with diverse individuals.
• Excellent attention to detail and dependability in managing tasks and documentation.
• Effective organizational and time management skills for multiple responsibilities.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, email, scheduling).

Responsabilités

• Manage intake and order processing by gathering referral information and entering data into EMR.
• Verify insurance benefits or self-pay status at intake.
• Coordinate delivery and fulfillment of medical equipment and supplies.
• Provide one-on-one patient education on equipment use, care, and safety.
• Support discharge planning and transitions of care with hospital liaisons and case managers.
• Process POS transactions and coordinate delivery or pickup in clinical and retail settings.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain privacy compliance.
