Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the Ship’s Control Systems and Hovering and Missile Compensation Systems for the Navy's COLUMBIA Class programs.

You will report to the SIT Lead, assist in system design and integration, and ensure compliance with Ship Building Specifications while coordinating with NAVSEA, SSP, UK MoD, and Naval War Centers. This role requires a DoW Secret clearance and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Time management skills.
• Proven interpersonal skills and ability to multitask.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Flexibility with job scope and schedules.
• Ability to travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Report to SCS SIT Lead and Forward Project Officer.
• Assist in design and integration of SCS and HMCCS per Ship Building Specifications.
• Execute full System Engineering process for COLUMBIA Class and HMCCS.
• Lead or support SIT meetings and ensure timely decisions with NAVSEA and UK MoD stakeholders.
• Manage risks and develop mitigation plans for significant projects.
• Collaborate with other SITs to resolve interfaces and integration issues.
• Support leadership to address emergent issues in SCS and HMCCS areas.
