Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support primary pupils across Bath and nearby areas. You will work with class teachers to deliver lessons, lead activities, and provide targeted support to help pupils progress in an inclusive classroom.

The role offers flexible supply work with short or long-term placements, access to professional development, and ongoing consultant support.

Qualifications

• HLTA experience or equivalent in education.
• Experience in mainstream primary settings is essential.
• Ability to lead small groups and deliver planned lessons.
• Strong communication and teamwork with school staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead learning activities with individuals or small groups.
• Deliver planned lessons when required.
• Support teachers with classroom activities and learning.
• Provide targeted support to pupils needing extra help.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and routines.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Support classroom organisation and day-to-day routines.
• Work effectively as part of the school team.
• Take responsibility for learning activities when required.
