Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science / Medical Technology or Biological Science is required.
• ASCP certified generalist or categorical Technologist or equivalent accreditation is required or eligible within 12 months of hire.
• Experience not required but preferred.
• Computers experience including web-based applications and Microsoft applications is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens for examination according to established procedures.
• Perform complex tests using molecular and immunohematology techniques according to SOPs.
• Operate and maintain automated instruments and perform QC/calibration.
• Document results, enter into LIS, and report critical results to providers.
• Participate in QA/QI projects and ongoing education to stay current in laboratory medicine.
