Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a dedicated laboratory professional to perform high-complexity molecular testing, including DNA extraction, HLA typing with NGS, and cross-matching techniques. Preferred candidates hold ASCP certification and have 1–2 years of NGS laboratory experience, with strong computer and data-entry skills.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required in Medical Laboratory Science / Medical Technology or Biological Science.
• ASCP certified generalist or categorical Technologist or equivalent accreditation from ASCP required; non-certified applicants must obtain within 12 months.
• Experience not required but preferred; strong communication and computer skills.
• Experience with computers including web-based applications and Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares specimens for examination and performs high-complexity tests across multiple modalities.
• Performs QC, calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on instruments.
• Documents results, enters data into LIS, and reports results to providers.
• Participates in continuing education and QA/QI projects.
• Evaluates test results and ensures accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
• Assists with training staff and scheduling to manage multiple priorities.
• Adheres to OSHA guidelines and laboratory safety policies.
• Assists in evaluating new methods, procedures, and SOPs under leadership guidance.
