Job summary

State of Mississippi seeks an Epidemiologist II in Jackson to lead HIV epidemiology activities under the HRSA Ending the HIV Epidemic program. You will analyze HIV-related data, ensure data quality, and prepare Ryan White Services Reports in alignment with HRSA requirements.

The role collaborates with DIS and case managers to identify clients needing follow-up and case management, located in Hinds County, MS. This is a time-limited, full-time position with MS MSDH.

Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare data analysis, including developing and designing methods of collecting, analyzing, and disseminating data.
• Demonstrated understanding of programs, processes and methods for prevention, intervention, and control of diseases of public health importance.
• Competencies in SAS, and SPSS, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Epic and relevant statistical softwares and packages.
• Experience or interest in HIV prevention and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze HIV-related data and ensure data quality for HRSA reporting.
• Prepare Ryan White Services Reports aligned with HRSA requirements and collaborate with DIS and case managers.
