Job summary

Sinclair College in Dayton, OH is seeking part-time adjunct Histotechnology faculty to teach in the post graduate certificate program. The HealthSciences Division aims to prepare students to become Histology Technologists working in hospital labs, handling tissue samples and slide preparation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year of work experience as a histotechnologist or histotechnician.
• HT or HTL ASCP credential preferred.
• Evidence of successful teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to use modern educational technology and multimedia instruction.

Responsibilities

• Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections.
• Employ teaching strategies and technology as appropriate.
• Modify methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success.
• Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Submit final grade rosters by deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Cannot teach more than 12 credit hours per semester.
