Job summary

Sinclair Community College seeks part-time (adjunct) faculty for evening, face-to-face courses at the Dayton campus with some remote opportunities.

The role requires an associate degree in clinical laboratory technology, ASCP credential, and at least three years in a clinical lab setting. Prior teaching experience is preferred, with a commitment to student success and modern instructional tech.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of work experience as a clinical laboratory technician or clinical scientist.
• ASCP credential required.
• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies.

Responsibilities

• Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department.
• Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning.
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies.
• Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, use available instructional technology when appropriate.
• Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student’s needs.
• Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success.
• Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
