Job summary

The Health Technologies division at Sinclair Community College seeks part-time adjunct faculty to teach in the Histotechnology (HT) post graduate certificate program. In a hospital laboratory setting, graduates prepare tissue slides for pathologists to review for diagnostic or research purposes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• HT/HTL ASCP credential preferred; teaching experience preferred.
• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections.
• Employ teaching strategies and instructional technology as appropriate.
• Modify methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Maintain records of student progress and submit final grade rosters.
