Capital Health is seeking a Histotechnologist to perform routine processing, microtomy, staining, and IHC procedures for surgical and cytology specimens. The role requires meticulous technique and accurate documentation to support pathologic diagnosis, with responsibilities including specimen preparation, staining, and QA record-keeping.

Minimum education is an associate degree with ASCP HT/HTL certification (or within one year).

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred.
• ASCP Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) certification required or within one year of employment.
• One year histotechnologist experience preferred; 10 years in histology if no bachelor’s degree.

Responsabilités

• Prepare surgical pathology specimens for microscopic diagnosis including processing and embedding.
• Perform H&E and other stains; immunohistochemical stains per protocol.
• Maintain accurate records for QA and equipment maintenance; troubleshoot issues.
