Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological, physical, chemical, life sciences, medical laboratory technology, or histology.
• HTL (ASCP) certification or eligible; if eligible, must take and pass exam within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs cassette-log reconciliation and processes tissue specimens per SOPs.
• Embeds biopsy, routine surgical, and autopsy tissues per SOP.
• Identifies and documents tissue orientation, embeddings, and staining quality issues.
• Operates automated instrumentation to stain and coverslip slides; handles manual methods when needed.
• Maintains documentation and inventory, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety.
