Qualifications

• HT certified with ASCP or equivalent OR minimum 2 years experience in histotechnology.
• Bachelor degree in Histotechnology or related field; CLIA education considered equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Process and embed tissue specimens to preserve cellular structure.
• Cut sections of tissue for microscopic examination using microtomes and cryostats.
• Stain tissue sections to make cell structures visible for examination.
• Perform immunohistochemistry to detect proteins and prepare analyses for pathologists.
• Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment; ensure safety and cleanliness.
