Job summary

SBMF in Indiana is seeking a Histotechnologist or Histotechnician to join the day shift (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM, Monday to Friday with Saturday rotation). The role involves processing, embedding, sectioning, staining and labeling of surgical specimens, and performing high-complexity testing with special stains, IHC and IF staining.

Ideal candidates hold a BS with histotechnology program completion and ASCP HT certification (HTL), or a histotechnician (HT) credential with ASCP certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelors' of Science degree and completion of a histotechnology program; Certification as HTL by ASCP; Previous histology experience desired.
• High school graduate with completion of an accredited histology program; Certification as HT by ASCP; Previous histology experience desired.

Responsibilities

Requirements

Option 1 Histotechnologist (HTL)

Bachelors' of Science degree and completion of a histotechnology program. Certification as a histotechnologist (HTL) by an appropriate accrediting agency ie ASCP. Previous histology experience desired.

Option 2 Histotech (HT)

High school graduate with completion of an accredited histology program. Certification as a histotechnician (HT) by an appropriate accrediting agency ie ASCP. Previous histology experience desired.
