Job summary

South Bend Medical Foundation in South Bend, IN, is hiring a Histotechnologist or Histotechnician for a day shift (5:00 AM–1:30 PM, Monday–Friday with Saturday rotation).

This full-time role involves processing, embedding, sectioning, staining and labeling of surgical specimens, plus high complexity testing and special stains with IHC/IF as assigned. HTL requires BS and histotechnology program completion, HT requires HT cert and histology training; prior histology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science degree and completion of a histotechnology program.
• Certification as a histotechnologist (HTL) by ASCP or equivalent.
• Previous histology experience desired.

Requirements

Option 1 Histotechnologist (HTL):

• Certification as a histotechnologist (HTL) by an appropriate accrediting agency ie ASCP.
• Previous histology experience desired.

Option 2 Histotech (HT)

• High school graduate with completion of an accredited histology program.
• Certification as a histotechnician (HT) by an appropriate accrediting agency ie ASCP.
• Previous histology experience desired.
