Job summary

Indiana Landmarks Center in Indianapolis seeks an Events & Venue Manager to oversee venue rentals, internal meetings, and event programs, while guiding staff and budgets to support Indiana Landmarks’ mission and earned revenue goals.

The role requires coordinating across departments, managing calendars, and delivering exceptional client experiences for a range of events, including weddings, conferences, and community programs.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in event management, venue management, hospitality, museum, nonprofit, or related field, including supervisory experience.
• Strong organizational, financial, and project management abilities.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the use of Indiana Landmarks Center and Morris-Butler House, balancing internal needs with external rentals and revenue goals.
• Supervise Events Department staff and establish workflows for high-quality service.
• Lead planning and execution of internal programs, fundraising events, weddings, conferences, and facility rentals.
• Develop and manage the department’s annual operating budget and monitor revenue and expenses.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Arts Administration, Communications, or related field
