Job summary

Skilled Trades Partners in Middletown, CT is seeking an experienced Finish Carpenter to join our team. You will perform high-quality finish and restoration carpentry on historic buildings across Connecticut and New England, using traditional and modern techniques while preserving original character.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional carpentry, strong detail orientation, and the ability to read plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional carpentry experience preferred.
• Strong finish carpentry and woodworking skills.
• Experience with trim, molding, doors, windows, cabinetry, or architectural millwork.
• Restoration or historic preservation experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to produce precise, detail-oriented work.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• OSHA 10 preferred.
• Ability to travel to project sites throughout Connecticut and New England as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality finish and restoration carpentry.
• Install and restore trim, molding, paneling, doors, windows, and other architectural woodwork.
• Repair and reproduce existing wood components to match original profiles.
• Perform interior and exterior finish carpentry.
• Work with both traditional and modern carpentry methods.
• Read plans, measurements, and project specifications.
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Work on a variety of historic and architecturally significant buildings.
