Job summary

Skilled-Trades-Partners is seeking an experienced Mason for a full-time, permanent position with an established contractor specializing in historic restoration projects throughout Connecticut and New England. The role focuses on high-quality craftsmanship on unique historic and architecturally significant buildings.

You will perform brick, block, and stone masonry work, repair and restore historic masonry, and match finishes to preserve authenticity.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional masonry experience preferred.
Strong experience with brick, block, stone, and mortar.
Experience with restoration, repointing, or historic masonry is highly preferred.
Ability to match existing masonry and produce clean, detailed work.
Knowledge of traditional masonry techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform brick, block, and stone masonry work.
Repair and restore existing historic masonry.
Repoint brick and stone using appropriate techniques.
Remove and replace deteriorated masonry materials.
Match existing brick, stone, mortar, and finishes.
Perform masonry repairs on walls, foundations, chimneys, facades, and other structures.
Mix and apply mortar while maintaining proper joint profiles.
Work carefully around existing historic materials and architectural features.
Complete both interior and exterior masonry restoration.
