Skilled-Trades-Partners in Middletown, CT is seeking an experienced Finish Carpenter to join a historic restoration-focused team. You will perform high-quality finish and restoration carpentry on architecturally significant buildings across Connecticut and New England, shaping trim, molding, doors, windows, and woodwork to preserve original character.

The role requires strong detail orientation, the ability to read plans, and proficiency with traditional and modern carpentry methods.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional carpentry experience preferred
• Strong finish carpentry and woodworking skills
• Experience with trim, molding, doors, windows, cabinetry, or architectural millwork
• Restoration or historic preservation experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to produce precise, detail-oriented work
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• OSHA 10 preferred
• Ability to travel to project sites throughout Connecticut and New England as needed

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality finish and restoration carpentry
• Install and restore trim, molding, paneling, doors, windows, and other architectural woodwork
• Repair and reproduce existing wood components to match original profiles
• Perform interior and exterior finish carpentry
• Work with both traditional and modern carpentry methods
• Read plans, measurements, and project specifications
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Work on a variety of historic and architecturally significant buildings
