Job summary

Hagley Museum and Library is seeking a dependable Part-Time Custodian to help maintain our facilities and support visitors, staff, and events on a historic campus along the Brandywine River.

You will perform general custodial duties, assist with event setup, and help ensure clean, safe spaces during morning hours. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to contribute to Hagley's educational mission.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial or facilities experience preferred, but training provided.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Basic computer skills and timekeeping familiarity.
• Valid driver3s license required.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, vacuum, mop floors and maintain baseboards.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and restock supplies.
• Maintain interior and exterior windows; remove trash and debris.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown for Hagley events.
• Perform light maintenance such as replacing light bulbs and minor repairs.
• Open, secure, and inspect buildings; monitor safety equipment.
