Job summary

Longwood Gardens is seeking a part-time Operational Services Associate (Custodial Staff) to maintain cleanliness and efficiency of our world-class facility in Kennett Square, PA. The role supports multiple departments and assists with event setup and breakdowns.

The candidate should have 2+ years custodial experience (preferred), a valid driver’s license, and strong communication and safety mindset. Outdoor work and lifting requirements apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years custodial experience preferred but not required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to lift at least 20 pounds and stand/walk long periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks and sanitization.
• Manage waste and recycling; monitor supplies and equipment.
• Support other departments with work orders as needed.
• Assist with meeting, event, and educational class set-ups & breakdowns.
