Altasciences in Seattle is seeking a Histology Technician to prepare tissue samples for histopathology, embed and section tissues, and perform H&E staining.

You will maintain GLP practices, manage reagents, troubleshoot equipment, and contribute to quality improvements while keeping the lab organized and compliant.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 4 years of related experience, and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Formación

• High School Diploma and/or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
• Technical skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain GLP and document use/maintenance of equipment and a clean, orderly lab environment.
• Perform trimming of fixed tissues and paraffin tissue processing; embedding procedures.
• Use microtomy skills for routine slides and perform H&E staining and cover slipping.
• Prepare reagents/stains and non-routine histochemical procedures as required.
• Quality control on all prepared slides; troubleshoot equipment and operate within SOPs.
