Job summary

CTA Pathology in Seattle seeks an experienced Histotech/Mohs Technologist to join our new location. You will perform processing, embedding, sectioning, mounting, and staining to produce diagnostic-ready slides for pathologists.

The role requires expertise in H&E, special stains, IHC, and rapid frozen sections for intraoperative consults, with a strong focus on accuracy, logs, and QC to support accreditation.

Qualifications

• HT/HTL certification preferred or registry eligible.
• Minimum 2 years practical histology experience.
• Experience with Mohs surgery procedures required.
• Seattle area location experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and prepare tissue specimens for microscopic analysis.
• Embed, section, mount, and stain tissues (H&E and special stains).
• Perform IHC and frozen sections as needed for intraoperative consults.
• Maintain daily QC logs and support laboratory accreditation efforts.
• Troubleshoot equipment and ensure regulatory compliance (CAP/CLIA).
