Job summary

Altasciences is hiring an on-site Histology Technician in Everett, WA. You will prepare tissue samples for histopathologic evaluation, embed tissues, section slides, and perform staining and quality control per SOPs and study protocols.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 4 years of related experience, with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. On-site position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
• Technical skills include MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain GLP practices and a clean, orderly laboratory environment.
• Trim fixed tissues and perform paraffin tissue processing.
• Perform microtomy for routine slides and prepare stains/reagents.
• Carry out H&E staining and slide coverslipping.
• Prepare non-routine histochemical stains and run quality controls.
• Troubleshoot equipment and document SOP deviations.
• Assist with SOP revisions and process improvements.
• Manage laboratory inventory and hazardous chemical records.
