UroHealth Partners in Fremont, NE is seeking a Histology Technician to prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination, ensuring accurate processing and adherence to lab standards.

This role requires experience in histology or pathology, knowledge of embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting, and the ability to follow strict safety procedures. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with travel between Fremont and Omaha as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in histology or pathology in clinical or research labs.
• Knowledge of tissue fixation, embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathology concepts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue samples through embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting.
• Maintain detailed documentation of specimen processing steps.
• Operate and troubleshoot microtomes, cryostats, and staining machines.
• Collaborate with pathologists to optimize specimen quality.
• Follow established laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
• Assist with specimen collection and processing as needed.
