Job summary
Personalis, Inc. is seeking a Histotechnician to prepare FFPE specimens for microscopic evaluation in our Fremont, CA lab. You will section, stain, cover slip, and disassemble as needed to support molecular diagnostics tests.
The role requires a NAACLS-accredited Histotechnology program or equivalent, HT/HTL certification, and at least 3 years in a high-volume histology lab. IHC and digital imaging experience a plus; strong detail and teamwork are essential.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or NAACLS-accredited Histotechnology program completed.
- HT/HTL ASCP certification required or in process.
- Minimum 3+ years in a high-volume histology lab with microtomy, H&E staining and embedding.
- Experience with IHC/digital imaging and reading pathology reports is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Section tissue using a microtome and mount on slides.
- Stain tissue sections with automated and/or manual methods.
- Cover slips on slides, perform macrodissection as needed.
- Operate and maintain histology instruments and systems.
- Follow safety, quality policies and documentation practices.
