Job summary

Mountain View Hospital is seeking a Histology Technician to perform daily histology workflows, calibrations, quality controls, and routine maintenance on analyzers and manual tests. You will provide excellent service to patients, physicians, and staff, while prioritizing specimens and troubleshooting equipment under pressure.

The role requires hands-on histology experience, ability to multitask, and strong communication skills to support a busy laboratory team in Idaho Falls.

Qualifications

Current certification as HT/ASCP or HT-NCA or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Performs routine Histology test procedures and reports results.
Correlates clinical information and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
Maintains and operates Histology equipment and troubleshoots malfunctions.
Ensures histology supplies are on hand in designated area.
Trains histology personnel and students.
Participates in quality management activities and QC testing.
Attends continuing education to maintain proficiency.
Works with lab staff to ensure timely client service and accurate results.
